Sandra Sue Fowler

Sandra Sue (Setser) Fowler, 85, of Macomb, passed away at 6:15 a.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at The Elms in Macomb.
She was born May 18, 1940, in Macomb, to Edward and Kathryn (Birdsell) Setser. She married Gary Fowler December 23, 1956. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Joyia (Gene) Greuel of Macomb, IL, Elizabeth (Thomas) Beck of Avon, IL, and one son, Gary Jay (Debra) Fowler of Macomb; grandchildren, Andrew and Austin (Michelle) Greuel, Clayton (Margaret) and Audrey Provine, and Corey (Elizabeth) and Lawson (Sarena) Fowler; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; two brothers, John (Mary) Setser of Del City, OK, and Vic Setser of Macomb, IL; one sister, Donna Marlowe of Macomb, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Linda Mason, and two brothers, Larry Setser and William (Bill) Setser.
Sandra spent most of her life in the Industry/Macomb area, retiring from WIU in 2000. She also worked as a partner on the family farm, driving a tractor and helping with livestock. Her best times were time spent with family, holiday dinners, playing cards, visiting with dear friends at McDonald's, road trips with Gary, sister Donna, and mother Kate, and taking care of her garden. She enjoyed sewing quilts and made one for each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as the most loving, caring, selfless mother, wife, and Gram Fowler.
Visitation will be from 9-11 AM Friday July 18, 2025 with services to follow at 11:00 AM, at the Dodsworth-Piper Funeral Home. Kendell Litchfield will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
