Talma Clark Obituary
Talma Virginia Clark, 93 of Montrose, IA passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 at her home.
She was born April 11, 1932 in Hartford, AL the daughter of George R. and Sallie Bell Grantham. Talma graduated from Hartford High School.
On August 4, 1952 Talma was united in marriage to Hubert W. Clark in Hartford. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1991.
She had been employed by Sheller Globe/BTR for more than thirty years, until her retirement.
Talma enjoyed working word search puzzles, listening to country music, dancing and sewing. She was a gardener with a green thumb and loved spending time in her garden. Talma loved traveling and camping and never missed an opportunity to take off on an adventure. Above all, it was the time she spent with her family that she treasured the most.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Dame (Lester) of Surprise, AZ, Vickie Tweedy of Montrose, IA and Teresa Slee of Quincy, IL, one son, Wayne Clark of Montrose, IA, ten grandchildren, Lindsey White (Adam) of Rio Rancho, NM, Michael Dame (Gabby) of Fremont, NE, Jeremy Tweedy (Jamie) of Argyle, IA, Matthew Tweedy (Sarah) of Donnellson, IA, Stephanie Tweedy Smith (Kris) of Montrose, IA, William Uppinghouse (Heather) of Carthage, IL, Jessie Kamm (Cory) of Quincy, IL, Joseph Slee (fiancé Marissa) of Quincy, IL, Samantha Slee of Quincy, IL and Brian Clark (Kayla) of Kahoka, MO and twenty-two great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, George Grantham, Jr. of Lyons, GA, three sisters, Barbara Gilley (Murry) of Dothan, AL, Mary Chambers of Dothan, AL and Shirley Davis (Lamar) of Ft. Novosel, AL and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Dallas L. Grantham, Hershel Grantham, Wilson Grantham and Bennie Grantham, and sisters, Katherine Laprade, Beulah Kirkland, Eunice Langford, Marie Cox, Katie Sorrells, Ruth Dunham, Betty Wicker and Jeanette Ryland.
A private family burial will be held at the Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, IA at a later date.
