Claire Langlais Obituary
Claire M. (St. Onge) Langlais, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Claire touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, generosity, and boundless love.
Born in Haverhill, on March 16, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (DeRoche) St. Onge.
Clarie was raised in Methuen, MA, and was educated at St. Joseph's School in Haverhill and Tenney High School in Methuen. It was during her senior year of high school, while working at Howdy Beefburgers in Haverhill, that she met the love of her life, Donald Langlais. They married shortly after and shared 53 devoted years of marriage.
After graduating, Clarie attended Merrimack College and began her professional career at The New England Telephone Company. Years later, Claire retired from Verizon, where she was a valued and dedicated employee. However, retirement was just the beginning of a new chapter. Claire went on to enjoy a second career with The Eagle Tribune, where her warmth and vibrant personality continued to shine.
Claire had a true gift for friendship and storytelling. She had an incredible ability to make everyone feel special and loved, because to Claire, they truly were. Her joy for life was evident in every gathering, every conversation, and every smile she shared.
She treasured every moment with her husband Don, whether they were enjoying long scenic drives together or spending time with their friends in the Corvette Club. Nothing brought her more pride and happiness than her family. Claire was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter Kelly and son in-law Christopher, and an adoring grandmother to her two grandsons, Jake and Brent. She was their biggest fan, attending their wrestling matches and cheering them on with unmatched enthusiasm and pride.
Claire cherished family vacations and gatherings, always bringing joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories to those around her. Her presence lit up every room, and her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Claire's beautiful spirit, her deep devotion to loved ones, and her radiant love of life brought comfort and joy to so many. Though she is gone, the love she gave remains.
Claire is survived by her husband, Donald P. Langlais; daughter and son in-law, Kelly J. and Christopher Nicolosi of Haverhill; sister, Connie Lemieux Carlezon of Methuen; brother, Barry St. Onge and his wife Liz of Methuen; sister in-law, Janet St. Onge; sister in-law, Carole (Langlais) Sheehan and her husband, Richard Sheehan; brother in-law, David Langlais; two grandchildren, Jake and Brent Nicolosi; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond St. Onge.
