Howard Cooper Obituary

Howard Steven Cooper, 83, of Quincy Massachusetts, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Lawrence General Hospital.
He was born in Boston on October 20, 1942, son of the late Benjamin and Gertrude (Perman) Cooper.
Howard was educated in the Quincy high school system and graduated with the class of 1960. He went on to receive a bachelor's degree from Boston State College. He proudly served our country in the United States army during the Vietnam war and was considered a Vietnam era Veteran. Howard was a Sudbury police officer before retiring from the United States Postal Service. He also got his criminal investigation credentials from the military and became a CID agent. He worked the border patrol for the Cuban Refugee camps before becoming a postal civil service worker. Howard was very proud of his military status.
Dad loved his photography, collecting cameras, watches, knives and other collectibles. He loved to fish with his son whenever he got the chance. His favorite past-time was watching the Red Sox play and his favorite movie was the Matese Falcon. He also loved his trips to Curacao.
Howard is survived by his children Dena O'Neil and her husband Conlin of Andover, and James Cooper and his wife Kathy Cooper of Florida. His grandchildren, Harrison Cooper, Calvin Cooper, Sammuel O'Neil and Maxwell O'Neil, and his great grandchild Kairo.
Services will be private with burial in Sharon Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Bradford~Haverhill.
