Kenneth Whittemore Obituary

HAVERHILL – Kenneth R. Whittemore, 76, of Haverhill passed away on Tuesday, October 15 at his home in Haverhill. Born in Winchester on September 10, 1948 he was the son of Kenneth and Winifred (Oxford) Whittemore. He was a graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School, Class of 1966. Kenneth then joined the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War, after which he went back to college and earned his Bachelor Degree from Salem State University. He worked as a cross country trucker and then for many years as a banker at State Street Bank in Boston. Kenneth was a loving father and brother; he enjoyed going out to eat at the Rainforest Café with his daughter Shannon, staying home watching movies, and hiking at the Break Hearth Reservation and sitting on Eagle Rock. Kenneth is survived by his daughters Shannon K. Whittemore and her partner James Aleman of Lawrence, Karey Whittemore Weakley of VA and his son Kelly Whittemore of TN. He also leaves behind his sister Carolyn Boynton and her husband James of Georgetown, as well as several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, October 28 at 3PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
