Mitchell Kroner Obituary

Mitchell E. Kroner, 73, of Groveland, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Lahey Medical Center, Burlington, MA. He was born in Boston on December 9, 1951, son of the late Thomas and Dorothy (Fredd) Kroner. Mitchell ("Mitch") was educated in the Marblehead School System and graduated from Marblehead High School class of 1969. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1973 and graduated from Villanova Law School in 1976. For many years, Mitch was a partner in the law firm Rudolph, Andrews, and Kroner in Georgetown, MA. In 2001, he became self-employed as an attorney concentrating on real estate until retiring in 2021. Mitch was a resident of Groveland since 1978. He was a member of Temple Emanu-El in Haverhill and trustee of Pentucket Regional Scholarship Association. He was also a member of the Essex County Bar Association, Haverhill Bar Association (where he was a past president), and the Massachusetts Bar Association. He served as long-time president of Groveland Youth Soccer. Mitch was well-known in the community, making friends wherever he went. He was overly generous with his time and energy, quick to help any friend who needed support. Humble about his own accomplishments, Mitch never missed an opportunity to celebrate those that he loved. You could always find him with Judy on the sidelines cheering on his kids, and then grandkids, at their various sporting events. He cherished his daily naps, was quick-witted with a great sense of humor, and was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Judith (Greenbaum) Kroner, his son Todd and wife Julie (Donato) Kroner, his daughter Beth (Kroner) Humberd, his long-time son in law Andy Humberd, grandsons Colin (Beth), Jonah (Beth), and Jared (Todd), his sister Meryl (Kroner) Holber and husband Stuart, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday September 2nd at 10:00am at Temple Emanuel, 7 Haggetts Pond Road, Andover, MA. Interment will follow in Children of Israel Cemetery, Haverhill. All are invited to the memorial luncheon to be held at Haverhill Country Club following the interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Pentucket Regional Scholarship Foundation (PO Box 36, Groveland, MA 01834) or to Temple Emanuel (7 Haggetts Pond Road, Andover, MA 01810). Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Bradford ~ Haverhill. To share a memory or for more information, please visit www.farmerfuneralhomes.com

Earlier today

Jeff and I were so very sorry to hear the news that Mitch is no longer with us. We knew him from soccer, basketball and events around town. He also did legal work for us in selling and buying property. Our thoughts are with Judy, Todd, Beth and their families. Enjoyed a few laughs at the Yankee Swaps we used to host. He was a good person and friend. Mitch will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
