Albert Aden Obituary

Albert John "Buster" Aden of Quincy, IL passed away on November 24, 2021 in Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Al was born on April 29, 1935, the oldest child of John R. and Edith F. (Sommer) Aden in Columbus Township, IL. He was a veteran of the U.S. Naval Reserves and worked at various jobs including Supervisor for Super Value Stores, prison guard at the Illinois State Penitentiary in Joliet, IL and retired as a prison guard from the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison, IA. He was an umpire for years at Bailey Park in Camp Point and worked security for the Quincy Gems and Kroc Center. He worked at the Salvation Army and volunteered for Adams County RSVP.
He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was very proud of his family and loved to brag about them to whomever would listen. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fan, loved animals and liked to feed and watch the birds and squirrels.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, sister, brother-in-law and infant daughter.
He is survived by his sister, Marjorie Baker, brother Ralph Aden, sister-in-law Rosemary, son Eric Aden and wife Becky, daughter Becky McWilliams and husband Ken, daughter Vicki Miller and husband Josh, granddaughter Amanda, grandsons Damien and Dominik and great-grandson Aden.
