Anthony Edwards, 34, of Liberty, died at 12:52 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at his home.

Born July 24, 1984, in Quincy, Anthony was a son of Marty Edwards and Sherri Cook.

Anthony attended Liberty schools where he was active with FFA and band until he was a sophomore when he moved to Hillsdale. He was a graduate of Riverdale High School in Port Byron, and had been active with band. Anthony enjoyed painting and creating works of art, but his passion in life was cooking. He was employed at various restaurants as a cook, most recently for Gem City Pizzeria in Quincy.

Survivors include his mother, Sherri Bradley (Ron) of Liberty; his father, Marty Edwards of Hillsdale; his brother, Christopher Edwards of Quincy; two sisters, Holly Edwards of Liberty and Nena Bradley of Liberty; two half sisters, Nichole Thurman and Elizabeth Edwards, both of Davenport, Iowa; a stepbrother, Jammy Upton of Davenport; a stepsister, Trisha Upton of Davenport; three nephews, Cadyn, Landen and Bentley; his maternal grandmother, Wanda Cook of Quincy; his paternal grandmother, Delores Vermast of Moline; his maternal stepgrandmother, Janey Bradley of Ursa; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Anthony was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Walter Cook; maternal stepgrandparents, Virgil and Nena Bradley; and two uncles, Ricky Lee Cook and Mike Edwards.

SERVICES: 2 p.m. memorial services Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy with the Rev. Ronald Graham conducting.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, and 1:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
