Bonnie Kurfman Obituary

FISHHOOK, Ill. -- Bonnie Kurfman, 63, of Jacksonville, and formerly of Fishhook, died Sunday (July 17, 2011) at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.

She was born March 7, 1948, in Quincy, a daughter of Bernard and Ruby House Cooley.

Bonnie was a member of Fishhook United Brethren. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and embroidering. Her pride and joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother of Fishhook; a son, Chris (Anne-Marie) Scott of Carthage; a daughter, April Lawson of Kinderhook; four grandchildren, Beth and Hope Scott and Riley and Kayden Lawson; three stepgrandchildren, Madison, Michael and Matthew Clark; three brothers, Herschel (Sharon) Cooley, David (Patsy) Cooley and Mike (Connie) Cooley, all of Quincy; a sister, Wanda (Stanford) Jenkins of Fishhook; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Linda Sue Cooley.

SERVICES: 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Chapel in Griggsville with burial at Woodland Cemetery, near Fishhook.

VISITATION: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel in Griggsville.

MEMORIALS: Memorials are suggested to the family, in care of Airsman-Hires Funeral Home, P.O. Box 341, Griggsville, IL 62340.
