Cornwell Family:
My condolences to Jill and her three brothers on the loss of your mother. I remember seeing both Betty and Bill for many years at St Peters when I drove my family down from Walcott, IA to celebrate Christmas with my parents and siblings in rural Payson. I always looked forward to seeing them near the back of the church if I got there early enough, as often we had to stand. They were always friendly toward me. Jill, I believe they told me you lived in or near Augusta, GA.
I recently bought 70 acres of the family farm after my mom passed at almost 97 years on 10-15-2024. Exactly one year before your mom. This is the farm where you gave my grandfather a ride in your blue Triumph Spitfire many years ago. He talked about that ride for years. I work at the farm every other week where my mom and I started a tree and wildlife habitat on 22 acres almost five years ago. This is my retirement job, once I retire. I have great memories of the Cornwell family. And your dad´s slogan of "For Land Sake, call Bill Cornwell."
Again, please accept my sincere condolences. I'm an orphan too.
