George (Bucky) and I grew up together at 6th & Washington Street in Quincy, Illinois. I was 1 year and 5 months younger so Bucky was like an older brother. Someone I always looked up to and admired. He was very athletic, especially at baseball. We were both boy scouts at Troop 45 of Salem Church. (my fathers church, as I was raised Catholic). Bucky and I were good scouts together and shared the same pup tent (it was always cold). As we grew older we went out separate ways, but I will always treasure Bucky as a wonderful older brother. May he rest in peace.
