Mrs. Glorine J. Phebus, 94, of Barry, IL, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, in her home.
She was born March 27, 1928, in Hannibal, MO, to Harry & Venita F. (Smith) Badgley. They preceded her in death.
She first married Ernest Howell, in 1946, then she married William Taylor in 1960, and later married John E. "Gene" Phebus in 1980, in Barry, IL, and he preceded her in death in 2004.
She is survived by 1 son John "Mike" Howell & wife Tammy, of Barry, IL, 1 daughter Charlotte Brown & companion Jerry Pettitt, of Hannibal, MO, 1 stepdaughter Linda Turnbauch, of Griggsville, IL, 2 stepsons John Phebus, of Aurora, IL, and Charles Phebus, of Jacksonville, IL, 29 grandchildren, 93 great grandchildren, numerous great great grandchildren, and a dear friend Clair Thompson, of Hull, IL.
In addition to her parents and her husband Gene she was also preceded in death by an infant daughter Carolyn Sue, daughters Shelia Gordon, Cheryl Scranton & Charlene Franklin, sons Lee Howell & James Taylor, son-in-law Roger Gordon, 1 grandson Kelly Franklin, 1 great great grandson Michael Steiner, and 2 brothers Roy Badgley & Bill Badgley.
Glorine was an avid reader. She loved books, puzzle books and was a bit of a shopaholic. She loved spending time with all of her grandkids.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, at the Kirgan Funeral Home in Barry.
Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.
Memorials are suggested to Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
