James "Cody" Borrowman

BARRY, Ill. -- James "Cody" Borrowman, 20, of Barry, died Friday (July 6, 2012) at his residence in Barry.

He was born in Quincy, on Aug. 27, 1991, the son of Rebecca Borrowman.

Cody graduated from Western High School in 2010 and was enrolled at John Wood Community College in the truck driving program. He loved to play and watch baseball, and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He also liked his cats at home and had many friends that he enjoyed spending time with. He was loved by his family and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Cody is survived by his mother, Beck of Barry; his brother, Cory Borrowman of Fort Benning, Ga.; his grandparents, Jim and Evelyn Borrowman of Kinderhook; his great-grandmother, Ruth Chase Heissinger of Barry. Also surviving are an aunt, Carol (Kent) Schien of Chesterfield, Mo., and three uncles, Larry Borrowman of Barry, Richard (Larissa) Borrowman and Chris (Jill) Borrowman of New Canton, in addition to nine beloved cousins.

Cody was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Richard Chase and great-grandparents, Virgil and Pauline Borrowman.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Niebur Funeral Chapel in Barry, with Kenny Boyd officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery in Barry.

VISITATION 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Niebur Funeral Chapel, Barry.
