Janet Sue Maglioacchetti

1953 - 2018

Janet Sue Maglioacchetti, 65, of Quincy, and formerly of Barry, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at Blessing Hospital. She was born June 26, 1953, in Hannibal, Mo., to James Monroe and Vada Irene (Nichols) Sisk. She married John Maglioacchetti in 1981 in Quincy, and he survives.

Janet owned and operated J & S Cleaning Services in the tri-state area for many years. Her main focus in life was her family. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren and spoiling her husband. She was always thinking of others and volunteered for many charity and benefit events.

She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and wildlife, cooking and the casino. She also collected Native American Indian art, and she dearly loved her departed dog, Angel.

She is survived by her husband, John; her mother, Vada Sisk; sons, Troy (Rachel) Lyons of Quincy, Johnny Maglioacchetti of Loraine and Tony Maglioacchetti of Mendon; daughters, Machelle Hankins of Quincy, Missie (Robert) Hooper of Loraine and JoJo (Jeremy) Adair of Mendon; a brother, Jim Sisk of Baylis; sisters, Fanny (Frosty) Clark of Barry, Linda (Rich) Osten of Barry, Shirley Howard of Quincy and Penny (Monty) Hawkins of Center, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Elgin Jennings; and father-in-law, John Maglioacchetti.

SERVICES: Noon Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Niebur Funeral Chapel, Barry with Pastor Bob Cook conducting. Burial will be Quincy Memorial Park.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
