Jean was an extremely talented woman when it came to anything fabric and textiles. She loved innovation and was principally responsible for obtaining the 3-D software EIU FCS enjoyed that allowed students to picture their designs in 3-D, just like Land's End. I enjoyed working with her on that gift and the friendship that was formed. I always enjoyed visiting her classroom when it was time for the students to design and print their ties on the fabric printer. She encouraged students to think beyond the fabric and create amazing things! Jean helped create one of my fondest memories with my mother and mother-in-law by advising all of us on where to buy the fabric for my wedding dress and then showing those 2 amazing seamstresses the easiest way to get the look they were trying to achieve while sewing it. How very blessed we all were! God's speed, Jean and I have no doubt that the angels in heaven will be wearing only the best robes with the best designs now that you are there.
