Joyce A. Goehl, age 82, of Fowler, IL, died on Thursday, September 16, 2021. She was born on September 22, 1938 in Quincy, IL the daughter of Charles and Pearl (Blocher) Till. She married Kenneth Goehl on September 13, 1958. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2019.
Joyce was a homemaker. She also volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital and then Blessing Hospital for over 25 years. Joyce enjoyed canning, walking and riding her bike. The time she enjoyed the most was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was extremely proud of each and every one of them. They all brought joy to her heart.
She is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: Sharon Herman and her husband Bryan of Fowler, IL; Steve Goehl and his wife Cyndi of Columbia, MO; and Jackie Marold and her husband Don also of Fowler, IL.
GRANDCHILDREN: Ryan Herman, Mackenzie Wollbrink and her husband Justin, Travis Herman and his wife Lindsay; Kenneth 'KJ' Goehl; Leslie Greenlaw and her husband Russell; Brock Goehl; Robbie Marold and his wife Kathy; Ryan Marold; Mitchell Marold and his fiancé Stevee Nolan; and Nathan Marold.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Nora Herman, Wyatt Goehl, Westin Goehl, Beau Greenlaw, Blake Greenlaw, and Lillian Jo Greenlaw; Elizabeth Marold and Meridith Marold.
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives including a special cousin Alicia Blewitt along with her daughter Annette Blewitt who always remained by Joyce's side.
In addition to her husband, Joyce was also preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild Jillian Goehl and siblings: Melvin Till, Elmer Till , Jack Till and Mary Ann Till.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:30 until the time of the Mass at 2:00. Memorials may be made to the Adams County Alzheimer's Association, the Adams County Suicide Prevention Coalition or to the Blessing Cancer Center. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
