Mr. Larry W. Cantrell, 82, of Camp Point, IL, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2026, at High Point Residence in Taylorville, IL.
Born October 23, 1943, in Quincy, IL. Larry was the son of Junior and Freda Kendrick Cantrell. He married Carol Jo Rittenhouse on April 17, 1964, at the Camp Point Assembly of God Church. She survives.
Mr. Cantrell retired as a maintenance supervisor from ADM in Quincy after 39 years of service. He was a member of the Camp Point Assembly of God Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, are his children: Kevin W. Cantrell (Kathy), Camp Point; Kimberly Tenhouse (Mike Hoots), Jacksonville, IL; Kara Clemons (Brian), Athens, IL; Kathy Mathews (Bob), Dawson, IL; and Krista Jackson, Chatham, IL; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Ann Vogel and Lee Ashbaugh, both of Quincy; his brother, Kenny Cantrell (Barb), Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Dakota Cantrell; and two brothers-in-law, Ronald "Ronnie" Vogel and Richard "Dick" Ashbaugh.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Camp Point Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Ron Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Camp Point Assembly of God Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Camp Point Assembly of God Church.
