Marilyn "Maryl" Langan Pullman, 98, of Quincy, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026 at Sunset Home in Quincy, IL.
Maryl was born December 14, 1927, in Quincy, IL to Elmer "Bud" and Myrtle (Schralla) Langan. She was married to Iverson "Mike" Pullman on September 21, 1946 in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1996.
Survivors include her two daughters, Patti Lang (Bill) of Chatham, IL, and Sherri Meadows (Chris) of Quincy, IL; three grandchildren, Mike Lang (Stephanie), Ashley Altmix (Jordan), and Natalie Meadows; five great-grandchildren, Braedyn, Baileigh, Ayla, Cooper, and Derek; one sister, Helen Langan; and a life long friend, Mary Ann Cox Yaykovich.
Maryl was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Bob, Jim, and Tom Langan; one grandson, Matt Lang; her aunt, Helene Langan Messer; and her lifelong friends, Norma Winkler Entrup and Patt Heckenkamp Gray.
Maryl's professional life was marked by her successful career in lighting fixture sales at Cresent Electric. A devout Catholic, she lived her faith through her actions, always putting others before herself.
A woman of many passions, Maryl's love for entertaining and hosting gatherings was legendary. Her home was often filled with music, her favorite being the timeless melodies of Frank Sinatra, whom she had the pleasure of seeing live multiple times. Her love for oriental design and decor reflected her appreciation for beauty and simplicity. Yet, it was in the simple moments watching Sherri and her granddaughters dance or surrounded by her family that Maryl found her greatest joy. Her radiant smile, generous spirit, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A Graveside Service will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy. Fr. Paul Lesupati will officiate. O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home is handling the arrangements.
