Patsy R. Dean, age 89, of Quincy, died on January 5, 2025, at 2:25 am in Blessing Hospital.
Patsy was born December 17, 1935, in Waynesville, Missouri, the daughter of Leslie and Helen Toupnot Phillips. She married Patrick A. Dean on May 21, 1965, in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2023.
She attended Quincy Public Schools. Over the years she had various employers including Harris, Glenayre, and ADM. Patsy and Patrick also owned and operated the Wood Peddler shop in Quincy. She was a member of Grandview Church in Quincy. She enjoyed traveling, meeting new people and making new friends. Patsy and Patrick also loved camping with their many friends.
Patsy is survived by two daughters, Sherry Winczewski of Cape Coral, FL, and Stephanie Brueggeman of Quincy; four grandchildren, Chris (Sabrina) Brueggeman of Forsyth, MO, Michelle Brueggeman of Chicago, IL, Trevor (Donna Phan) Winczewski of Texas, and Samantha (Cody Mitchem) Winczewski of Cape Coral, FL, four great-grandchildren, Holden, Chandler, and Andie Mitchem, and Gwen Sanchez; and a sister-in-law, Loy Dean of Chicago, IL.
In addition to her husband, Patrick, Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Steven Ray Dean, and a son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Brueggeman.
Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
Services: 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Rev. Dennis Thomas officiating.
Burial: Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Illinois
