We send you a message of sympathy in the loss of your dad. A very nice guy and brother of my "favorite" brother-in-law Jim Steinkamp.
Thank you for sharing "streaming" the funeral services.

To all of Richard Steinkamps family and friends and am so sorry for your loss. I know that Dick touched many lives as he did mine! He was one of my instructors at Quincy Technical School from 1980-81 in the Auto/Diesel class. He was a great teacher and knew how to connect with his students providing all of us a quality experience! I then served in the Marines as a mechanic. After having been gone from Quincy for over 20 years while serving I returned and often would drive by the old Technical school buildings and think about those days in class and wonder if Dick was still around! Not long ago I was touring Cedarhurst for my mother inlaw. I saw this man walking down the hall escorted by I assume some family members. He had a service hat on and if I remember correctly our escort said his name was Richard and the oldest resident at Cedarhurst. I thanked him for his service as we passed by. Later I found out his last name was Steinkamp and I told my wife, I wonder if he was my teacher. I never found out at the time! But, I know now, it was Dick and I am so honored to have gotten to thank him for his service. He has served our country and community well.
He lived by the Air Force motto: integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do! Thank you Dick! May you rest in peace!
