I first met Roy at Norma Jean's funeral when my sister Margie and I brought mom, Lillian McDonnell Freund, down for her cousin's funeral. My mom passed away on September 10, 2018. I remember Roy as such a kind and friendly man. I was sad I had not gotten to know your mom, Norma Jean. By the time the family made a trip to visit you, I had a job to save for college and stayed behind in Dubuque with my older brother George. Sending my sympathy and prayers your way. It is always hard to say goodbye to loved ones. May Roy rest in peace. And thanks Mary Cate for letting me know.
