Stephen Bax Obituary

Stephen "Steve" Joseph Bax, age 68 of Quincy, died on Monday, July 17, 2023 in Sunset Home. He was born on December 28, 1954, in Quincy the son of Al and Mary (Jackson) Bax.

He graduated in 1975 from Quincy High School. He enjoyed all kinds of work. Steve was employed by several area restaurants, Flamingo, Village Inn, Hy-Vee on Harrison, to name a few. He loved watching the Cardinals and Nascar, Hallmark movies and the Star Wars series, the game show network and the daily news reports, mowing grass and helium balloons.

Steve is survived by his sister, Barbara Ann Bax of Quincy and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, David Michael Bax and Lawrence "Larry" Bernard Bax, and one sister in infancy, Brenda Bax.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Ladies of Charity. Messages may be shared online at www.dukerandhaugh.com.
