Stephen Earl Carlstead, 63, of Georgetown, IL, formerly of Liberty, IL, passed away at 11:09 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2020, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.
A Graveside Service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2020, at Quincy Memorial Park in Quincy, IL. Rev. Steve Disseler will officiate.
The family is being served by the O'Donnell-Cookson Life Celebration Home in Quincy, IL.
Stephen was born December 19, 1957, in Saint Louis, MO, to Forrest Gray and Virginia Louise Coder Carlstead.
He was married to Victoria Lynn McGraw on August 15, 1981 in Liberty, IL. She survives.
In addition to his wife, other survivors include one son, Brandon Carlstead of Indianapolis, IN; three brothers, Christopher Carlstead, David Carlstead (Karla), and Andy Carlstead (Christine); one brother-in-law, Darin McGraw (Cindy); and several nieces and nephews.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Pat McGraw; and one brother, Bruce Carlstead.
Professionally, Stephen was a technician for AT&T. He enjoyed following NASCAR, especially his favorite driver, Tony Stewart. Stephen had his own 1970 blue Mustang that he was very proud of. An avid traveler, he especially enjoyed his trips to different casinos and New Orleans. Stephen also enjoyed being outside and grilling steaks in the summer.
Stephen was a Christian by faith.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.
