Virginia Seals, 94 of rural Ewing, Missouri passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025 surrounded by her family at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
The daughter of Ralph and Edna Rabe Waite was born on September 9, 1931 in Greene County, Illinois.
She was united in marriage to Merle D. Seals on August 9, 1950 in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2008.
Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewistown, Missouri where she also taught Sunday School. She liked to sew, cross stitch, do crossword puzzles, tend to her garden and watch game shows. She was also a great cook and loved spending time with her grandchildren and looked forward to family fish fries.
She is survived by her children, Lyle (Debbie) Seals of Lewistown, Mo., Terry (Diane) Seals of Lewistown, Mo., Diane (Philip) Stone of Steffenville, Mo. and Denise (Rick) Sharpe of Lewistown, Mo.; ten grandchildren, Julie (Mike) Smith, Justin (Kellie) Seals, Brett (Brianne) Seals, Troy (Angie) Seals, Shelly (Drew) Kraemer, Ryan (Autumn) Stone, Shannon Lewis-Stone, Beth (Richie) Keith, Joshua (Kelly) Sharpe and Ethan (Carley) Sharpe; twenty-three great grandchildren, Tanner (Sidney) Smith, Trista (Alex) Carr, Tyler Seals, Tucker Seals, Toby Seals, Corinne Seals, Remy Seals, Rowena Seals, Brice Seals, Quinn Seals, Nathan Kraemer (fiancé, Kenzie Foy), Mathew Kraemer (Lily St. John), Blake Stone, Brody Stone, Kason Stone, Kyree Lewis, Emma Berry, Lucas Berry, Emery Keith, Drasyn Keith, Erick Sharpe, Cora Sharpe and C.J. Sharpe; two great great grandchildren, Juniper Smith and Jonah Smith; sister, Frieda Mulch of Sutter, Il.; uncle, Gerald Rabe of Quincy, Il.; brother-in- law, Jerry Seals of Quincy, Il., Earl Seals of Ewing, Mo. and Stanley Seals of Maywood, Mo.; sister-in-law, Vivian Kackley of Quincy, Il. and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant granddaughter, brother and sister-in-law, Donald (Evelyn) Waite, sister and brother-in-law, Pauline (Glenn) Orr and a brother-in-law, Richard Mulch.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Tony Stottlemyre officiating. Burial will be in the Lewistown Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 1 PM until the time of services at the First
Baptist Church of Lewistown.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Lewistown or the Lewistown Cemetery.
Grandson Pallbearers: Ryan Stone, Justin Seals, Brett Seals, Troy Seals, Joshua Sharpe and Ethan Sharpe.
Honorary Granddaughter Pallbearers: Shelly Kraemer, Julie Smith, Elizabeth Keith and
Shannon Lewis-Stone.
Arrangements are with Arnold's Funeral Home in Lewistown.
