David Franklin Tharp passed away in Houston, Texas. David was born in Snyder, Ark., in 1934. He was the fourth of five children to Joshua and Blossom Henderson Tharp who grew up in White County.
David was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years, Lillian Tharp; daughter, Brenda Tharp; brother, Josh Tharp; and sister, Nell Atkins. He is survived by sons, Larry, Tommy (Regina) and Robert (Sarah Perry); former daughter-in-law, Carla; seven grandchildren; brother, Jack, of Houston; and sister, Wanda Eason of Conway.
Services were Oct. 23 in Houston. Burial is in Henderson Cemetery, Pangburn at 3 p.m. Oct. 25.
