Grover James Hart fell asleep in death on Nov. 26, 2025, at the age of 88 years old. His family was by his side – his wife of 70 years, Barbara Hart (Skinner), and his two surviving children: son, Billy Hart, and daughter, Sally Thompson.
Grover was born in Cherry Valley, Ark., to Lawrence and Nancy Hart. He grew up with three sisters: Willie, Betty and Rachel, and one brother, Junior.
Grover was a water specialist in Korea, and then came home and farmed for many years, He was also a used car dealer, had a salvage yard and lastly worked as a mail carrier.
Grover was not only a loving husband and father, but he was also a good Papa to nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to losing his parents to death, he also lost one daughter, Kathy Hart, and one son, Cleon Hart, and all but one sibling.
Grover will be remembered by his family for his patience, compassion and empathy. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, or just a listening ear.
A memorial service will be held on Dec. 6, 2025, at 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 908 Arkansas Highway 367 N., Judsonia, Ark. Visit Grover's online guestbook and obituary at www.colefunerals.com.
