Zena Elizabeth Falcinelli, 81, of Kensett passed away on May 3, 2024, surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home of Searcy, Ark.
Zena was born on Aug. 1, 1942, to the late Rose Lee Acree Andrews and Roland Andrews. She had two brothers, Carol and Wayne Andrews who preceded her in death. Zena grew up in Georgetown, Ark., and graduated from West Point High School. Her passion in life was working with adults with developmental disabilities. She retired after 45 years of service in this field. For the majority of this time, she served as the Executive Director of Newhope Specialized Industries.
Zena married Joseph Falcinelli in 1963. The two were married until his passing in 1989. They raised one daughter together.
She married Charles Berry in 1993 and they were married until his passing in 2019. Upon marrying Charlie, she gained a bonus family of his four children that loved her as their own.
Zena had a servant's heart and constantly worked to help others. She is remembered for her dedicated service to the community. She was constantly working to improve the lives of those she loved, especially adults with disabilities. The clients at Newhope were part of her family.
Zena is survived by her daughter, Jeanine (Rodney) Scarbrough of Searcy, Ark.; two grandchildren, Maddie (Michael) Lunsford of Norfork, Ark., and Tanner Scarbrough of Fort Worth, Texas; and one great-granddaughter, Zena Eliza James Lunsford; her bonus family including three children, Scott Berry, Brent (Brinda) Berry and Joy Berry (Latt); six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; along with a large extended family of many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews and caregivers that were near and dear to her. She was preceded in death by one son, Rob Berry, and one grandson.
