Betty Jo Carpenter Obituary
Mrs. Carpenter was born on Feb. 9, 1930, in White County, Ga. She was a homemaker and a member of New Haven Congregational Holiness Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Don Carpenter; sons, Dennis Paul Carpenter and Donald Randolph Carpenter; grandson, Christopher Carpenter; mother, Naomi Alexander; sister, Jean Simmons; brothers, Billy Foster, Don Waldrop, Charles Waldroup, and Ron Waldrop.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Greer and Susan Carpenter; grandchildren, Stephanie Michaud (Kenny Michaud), Elizabeth Pyles (Jose Filpo), Nicholas Carpenter (Jesica Carpenter), Nathan Carpenter (Rachel Carpenter), Tara Wormnest (Jeff Wormnest), and David Greer; great-grandchildren, Marissa and Adam Gregory, Dylan Michaud, Cohen Michaud, Jacob Wormnest, Antonio Negron (Latisha Negron), Jake Sewell, Dan Sowell, Kaylynn Greer, and Christopher Ortega; great-great-grandchildren, Dominic Ortega and Adalynd Gregory; siblings, David Waldrop, and Dana Middleton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
