Douglas Sidwell Obituary

Douglas B. Sidwell ("Doug"), 65, of Sautee Nacoochee, Georgia, passed away on August 31, 2025. Born March 21, 1960, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Doug was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

He worked as a home builder for nearly 30 years and found joy in creating homes for families. Outside of work, Doug loved hiking, kayaking, camping, traveling, and sharing time with his loved ones. He attended Georgia Tech.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Paul Phillip Sidwell. He is survived by his mother, Donna Sidwell; his wife, Robin Sidwell; his children Donald Milner (Cristiana), Douglas Milner, Derrick Milner, and Breanne Caba (Zander); his grandchildren; his brothers Jeff Sidwell (Erin) and David Sidwell; and many other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

Doug will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, hard work, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
