Jack Olvey Obituary
Mr. Olvey was born on May 31, 1948, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Jack and Cleo Keith Olvey. He was a restaurant owner and a member of Yonah Lodge 382 F&AM. He served twice as Grand Master of Eastlake Lodge and was also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War. Jack moved to White County in the early nineties from Clayton County.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Olvey, Homer; daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Rick Hines, Homer; grandsons, Brandon Thompson and Blake Hines; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Tom Fuller.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Mr. Gary Dorman and the Rev. William Beasley will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the memorial service.
