Michele Goldberg
Michele (Bialer) Goldberg, age 54, of Holliston, on Saturday, July 6, 2013. For 32 years, the beloved wife of Allen Goldberg. Loving Mother of Seth Goldberg of Cambridge, Alyssa Goldberg of Brighton, and Janna Goldberg of Holliston. Dear daughter of Dorothy Bialer of Winthrop. Beloved sister of Donna Dankner and her husband Robert Dankner of Westborough. She married her high school sweetheart and together they moved to MetroWest and built a life together over the past 32 years. She graduated from Maimonides and then earned a degree in Social Work from the University of Bridgeport utilizing this, first as a Social Worker in Worcester, then as a Social Services Coordinator at Mission Springs in Holliston, and finally as Constituent Services Director at the State House in Boston. Always looking to give back to others, she served as a caregiver to other family members and still found time to volunteer as a board member for the Council on Aging in Holliston and the Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center. Above all else, Michele loved spending her time with her family, traveling the world on many an adventure with them. Michele was a selfless person, giving to others ahead of herself whether it was helping in the schools, volunteering for charitable events, chairing the Helping Hands committee, or just helping a friend in need. She always made those around her smile, laugh, and love her. Services were held on Monday (today) at 1 pm at Temple Israel of Natick, 145 Hartford Street, Natick followed by burial at Kopaigarod Cemetery, 776 Baker St, West Roxbury. Nature

As a fond mother, when the day is o'er,
Leads by the hand her little child to bed,
Half willing, half reluctant to be led,
And leave his broken playthings on the floor,
Still gazing at them through the open door,
Nor wholly reassured and comforted
By promises of others in their stead,
Which, though more splendid, may not please him more;
So Nature deals with us, and takes away
Our playthings one by one, and by the hand
Leads us to rest so gently, that we go
Scarce knowing if we wish to go or stay,
Being too full of sleep to understand
How far the unknown transcends the what we know.

To the Goldbergs,
My sincerest condolences. I went to school with Michelle at Maimonides. I remember her as a quiet, gentle soul who enjoyed being a part of the class. When she stayed at our house in Brookline she made friends immediately with my little brother who earned the name 'slugger' from her. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.
Allen, I remember being so impressed by the very mature and loving relationship you enjoyed together already in high school.
May you all be comforted by the wonderful memories you share.

What a great loss to the family of Michele Goldberg. She was the best of the best in all that she did. I have known Allen and Michele back to their dating days when Allen was living right next door to me. They shared a special togetherness right from the start. I have such a special relationship with her whole family from birth to the present and I feel blessed to have them in my life. Their three children, now beautiful adults, are such a reflection of love, compassion and a great understanding of what life is and how it should be lived. She will definitely be missed and remembered so very much by so many people for all that she gave to each and every friendship and the love that everyone felt for her once they met her! As you can see, I could keep writing on and on about her and her family and the special love I feel for each and everyone of them. I only pray that Allen, Seth, Alyssa and Janna will continue on the beautiful road that Michele's memories will carry with them daily and know how blessed we all are for having had her in our lives. Please take care of yourselves during this very difficult time and just know how much I love all of you and always will. Please stay close and strong in love as you are now!!

Michele was a special person. A loving wife, wonderful mother, and very family oriented. Our visits both in Massachusetts and California were special and made for deep bonds between our two families separated by a great distance.
