He will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him. Peter is survived by loving children, Maggie Jeanne Jennings and husband Devin of Temecula, CA and Peter Thomas Flynn, Jr. of Escondido, CA; their mother, Deborah Bazley Flynn, and his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Brendan and Alayna Jennings. Peter was best friends with my ex husband Cam. I would love to connect with Debbie, his wife and beautiful children who are grown.

Know I am reaching out to all of them and hope one day we can share wonderful memories of Peter.

My love to the family.

Best regards,

Peter Flynn taught me a valuable lesson – one perfect summer evening…

A “fighter” took a clumsy, roundhouse swing at Peter. We were all “down the wall”, as near to the ocean as we could be, all friends, neighbors, teammates just enjoying life. The “fighter” spoke out of turn, trying to disrupt the scene.

Peter, a big, strong, athletic young man easily dodged the swing. And as the “fighter” followed his arm's off-balance momentum, and spun himself around, Peter reached out with those big basketball player wings of his, and wrapped them around the “fighter”, and quietly, gently, but firmly defused the disruption in our perfect summer night. The “fighter's” friends retrieved him and drove him away.

And ever since that perfect summer evening by the sea, and every time I face a pending conflict in my own life – I think of Peter, and reach out my own big arms – and defuse it.

And I always thank Peter for that lesson.

Rest now, my peaceful friend.
