Donald F. Vendetti Sr.

1936 - 2017

Donald F. Vendetti, Sr. 80, of South Dennis died on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 after a long illness. He was the husband of Paula (Cataldo) Vendetti for the past 54 years. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, September 17,1936, the son of the late Francis and Catherine (Smith) Vendetti. Don grew up in Franklin MA and graduated from Franklin High School. He attended Dean Academy and Burdett Business School and served honorably in the U.S. Army. Don spent nearly 30 years working at the Foxboro Company as a Project Manager before retiring on Cape Cod. Don loved his family, friends, music, football, gardening, and good books. He was also a talented drummer who won multiple musical competitions in his youth. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Diane of West Warwick RI, his son Donald Jr. and his wife Stacey of Brewster MA, and his son Jack also of Brewster MA. He also leaves behind his four grandsons: Cameron, Craig, Christian and Corey Vendetti. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 1 in St. Marys Church, Church Square, Franklin At 11:00a.m. Burial will be private a later date. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin(www.ginley funeralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.
