Marjorie O'Malley Obituary

Marjorie O. (Driggers) O'Malley, 73, of Bellingham died August 14 in her home. Born July 25, 1940 in Wauchula, Florida, the daughter of the late Bryant W. and Lottie B. (Johns) Driggers, Mrs. O'Malley was raised and had lived in Florida for many years prior to moving to Bellingham in 1962. Marjorie entered the real estate business in 1985 as a part-time sales associate with Devitt Realty of Bellingham. Marjorie enjoyed immediate success in real estate sales and affiliated with Page Realty of Medway in 1987 as a full time agent also earning her Broker's license. Marjorie worked tirelessly on her clients' behalf and built a solid referral and past customer business. She soon established herself as the top agent at Prudential Page Realty's Medway office garnering Prudential Real Estate's highest award - The Chairman Circle Award for many years. In 2005, Marjorie was recognized as a "Legend" in the Prudential network having earned the Chairman Circle Award for a minimum of 5 years - a feat accomplished by only 1% of Prudential real estate agents! She was exceptionally well liked and respected by her peers and will be dearly missed in the real estate community. Marjorie loved helping families find the home of their dreams and enjoyed playing golf and tennis in her spare time. She is survived by her children, Dennis Smith and his wife Lynn of Orlando, Florida, Gerald Belliveau and his wife Susan of Chesapeake, Virginia, Scott Belliveau and his wife Laura of Lakeville, Brenda Dillon and her husband Brian of Milford and Bridget O'Malley of Bellingham. She is also survived by her sister Hilda Rehberg of Titusville, Florida and 11 grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Brian, Harold and Merle Driggers. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, August 19 at 10 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street in Medway. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Seasons Hospice Foundation, 275 Grove St., Suite 3-102, Newton, MA 02466.
