Joseph G. Tellier age 86, of Belmont and Bourne, passed unexpectedly on March 4, 2021. Beloved husband of Jean Almond Tellier. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Augustus and Marie Tellier. He was raised in Belmont and attended Belmont Hill School and Kimball Union Academy. He earned his Bachelors degree from Boston University in 1957, where he played goalie for the Terrier hockey team. Joseph worked for many years in commercial real estate and was a long-time member at Woodland Golf Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Michele Britt and her husband Jonathan of Belmont, and his son, Joseph Scott Tellier and his wife Kerri of Weston. Dear brother of the late Edward Tellier of Belmont and Centerville. Proud grandfather to Caitlyn, Declan and Kiernan Tellier. Loved uncle of many nieces & nephews. Joseph, known by many as Captain Joe, but most proud to be called Boo by his grandchildren, he was always happy when behind the wheel of his boat and spending quality time his family. A funeral mass was held in St. Joseph Church Belmont on Tuesday, March 9. Interment Belmont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Joes memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute,P.O.
