Francis Kelley Obituary

Francis "Frank" J. Kelley, 71, passed away on October 26, 2011 at his home in Acton, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Disease. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gerry (Perry); two daughters, Amy Moore and husband Tony of Waltham, and Cheryl Hurchik and husband John of Andover; and two grandchildren, Sara and Matthew Hurchik. He is also survived by his brother, George Kelley and wife Helen of NY, his sister, Ruth Gossen and husband Leo of FL, and sister-in-law, Claire Kelley, wife of deceased brother, Jack Kelley. Frank grew up in Bedford, MA, the son of the late John and Anna Kelley. He moved to Acton his junior year of high school and graduated from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School in 1958. Frank enjoyed driving trucks for Suburban Welders Supply for over 20 years, and later joined the family plumbing business, Joseph G. Perry Plumbing & Heating until his retirement in 2002. He loved family gatherings, and most of all, playing with his grandchildren. Frank was a prankster who enjoyed practical jokes and was known for his infectious and mischievous smile. When he wasn't working on his car or yard, you could find him at the coffee shop spending time with his buddies. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sun. Oct. 30th from 2:00-6:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton. Funeral services are Mon. Oct. 31st at 10:00am at the funeral home, with burial following in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Central St., West Acton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Affinity Hospice of Life, 14 Crosby Dr., Bedford, MA 01730. Directions and guest book at www.actonfuneralhome.com.
