Steven Yongue Obituary
Surfside Beach
Steven M. Yongue, 37, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Waccamaw Community Hospital.
Born on November 5, 1976 in Conway, SC, he was the son of Paulette Barbour and the late Richard C. Yongue.
Other than his mother Paulette Arnette and stepfather, Charles Arnette, Steven is survived by his wife, Christina M. Thompson Yongue; children, Mason M. Yongue, Gage M. Shutts, Madison N. Yongue, Bailey M. Yongue and sisters, Toni L. Livingston and Nicole Arnette Shelley; maternal grandparents, Howard and Betty Lockey and paternal grandmother, Rachel Arnett Matthews.
Funeral services will be held at 5 pm on Wednesday, December 4 in Lee Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

Seeing this news brings tears to my eyes and also wonderful memories of laughter, smiles and friendship.
He and Howie were brothers I never had and were there when I needed a family most.

Steve and Family, I know even though your flesh grew weak, your spirit remains strong. This is only a transition that must be met with a joyous heart. Though death is sad, and we lose our loved ones, it is also the entry to a bigger place that our soul can travel on moments notice to be with our loved ones.
Steve will be missed. We were in classes together throughout school . He was a drummer behind our trumpet section. He was a good friend and I always had a good laugh with him. That I know I will always remember him for.
We each fight our own battles, be kind to one another and find the good in people and this life will be very rewarding.

Dear Charles & Paulette, My heart aches for you. There are no words that can even begin to express the pain you are all going through. Even though my husband went home to be with our heavenly Father in August and the pain is still very severe, I cannot even imagine the pain and heartache you are going through with the loss of your precious son Steven. My heart goes out to Steve's family! Its hard to say goodbye to someone as passionate as Steve was about life,God, his family,his football and friends! He was like a brother to me and football buddy!
