To my Markie and Di, Cait and Tom, We love you so much and can hardly bear the pain you are in. Our hearts are heavy. You have suffered the most tragic loss. Give yourself time to heal. No one can do the work for you. Believe me when I say we would do anything to take your pain away. Time does lessen the pain. Markie will walk you through every step of your journey. He will never be far from you. You'll see him everywhere... in the gentle breeze, a beautiful sunrise, on the faces of his children, his legacy. He will never be forgotten. He will live on in our hearts forever. He is in Mom's loving arms. So many unanswered questions. How could God do this to us? We may never know. Markie has been chosen for greater things. He is your very own angel, and we will all be together again someday. Just know that in the meantime you are surrounded by love. My wish for you is peace. Someday...

Jeanna, I am so sorry to hear this very sad and unexpected news. Although it doesn't seem fair or right, God has bigger plans for Mark in heaven than here on Earth. He is not looking down on you from above, because he is still with you and the children, you just can't see him. Keep his mortal memory alive and he will always be with you all... Be strong. Take care.

My deepest sympathy Jeanna to you and the children and the Byron Family.

Mark and Diane I am Mary's sister Kathleen and would like to say how so very sorry I am for the loss of your son. I know that words can't take away your pain. There are many individuals in Illinois that are keeping all of your family in their thoughts and prayers even though they have never met Mark. We are an extension of Mary's family who knew Mark and more than anything he was an amazing Dad. God has blessed all of you with two beautiful children. I believe that Mark will never be forgotten as his life will continue on through his kids. For my niece Jeanna... you are a strong person it will take so much to get through this week and there after. Again I believe in you..it will take one day at a time.. one foot in front of the other...but know that you have incredible support from everyone in MA and IL. We love you here and know that our arms surround you with so much love. I have an Irish Blessing for you and everyone in MA. “May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.” Love you... Auntie KK

Marky, you were always one of my favorite cousins growing up. I'll always think of the times sitting around the campfire, or staying up late at your house with Cate and Tom. I know that you'll be watching over your family whenever they need you. We all love you so much. You will live on through your kids and in all the happy memories we have of you. Love you Marky.
