Richard D. DeCourcey
Richard D. DeCourcey of Braintree, formerly of Winthrop, May 8, 2010 at age 79. Richard was born in Winthrop and graduated from Winthrop High School. He was in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Richard worked in teletype operations in a brokerage business. He was a member of the V.F.W. and married to his loving wife Jeanne for 49 years. Beloved husband of Jeanne (Vienneau) DeCourcey. Loving father of David DeCourcey and his wife Judith of Canandaigua, NY. Devoted brother of Eileen Castrucci of Spring Hall, FL and the late James J. DeCourcey Jr and Clair Flaherty. Loving grandfather of Michael D. DeCourcey and James T. DeCourcey of Canandaigua, NY. Funeral service on Tuesday, May 11 at the Cartwright Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to Colonial Nursing & Rehab. Center, 125 Broad St., Weymouth, MA 02188. David, I am so sorry about your father. I only met your parents a few times but we spoke on the phone often and I felt like I'd known them forever. Both very warm loving people. Please give your Mom a hug for me. You and all your family are in our thoughts.

Richard: a special man who was warm, caring, quick witted,generous and who happened to be my uncle.
Richard & Jeanne: I was in their wedding 49 yrs ago and knew even then that they had a loving & strong relationship which lasted through life.
Memories: all good and full of smiles & special moments. God bless Jeanne for her strengh. Love to David and the family.
