Margaret B. "Peggy" (Farley) Paine, of Boston, formerly Brookline passed away on February 8, 2021 at the age of 68 in the company of her close family. Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Edward P. & Gertrude M. (Dalton) Farley. She was educated in Lowell Public Schools, and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1969. Together with her husband Stanley, they raised their family in Brookline. In addition to her devoted groom of over 46 years, she is survived by her three sons: Kyle of Boston, Sean & his wife Beth of Northborough, and Matthew of New York, NY, as well as two young grandchildren and many loving (and loved) nieces and nephews. She was the dear sister of the late Mary Susan (Farley) McHale, Peter M. Farley, Edward A. Farley and Nancy (Farley) LaFerriere. Her family will remember her fondly for her unconditional love, sweet voice, and angelic blue eyes. A professional auctioneer for over three decades, Peggy was at one point the most well-traveled female auctioneer in the Commonwealth, traversing the highways conducting hundreds of foreclosure sales, and doing so with the same empathy and kindness she exhibited in all aspects of her life. In retirement, she realized her dream of traveling the world with Stanley, took up motorcycling, and vacationed in Arizona during her last few winters. Due to the current health crisis, funeral services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Massachusetts Association of Mental Health (www.mamh.org). Her family looks forward to a fond in-person remembrance of Peggys life later this year, with loved ones and friends. Levine Chapels, Brookline 617-277-8300 www.levinechapel.com

Peggy possessed a combination of rare qualities that made her precious. She was the type of woman whose warmth you could feel from the other side of a crowded room just from her gaze. May her beautiful memory give comfort to mend her family's fractured hearts.

Words can't express what a wonderful human being Peggy was. While technically a sister-in-law, Peggy was the sister I never had. I met Peg when I was a young teenager when she married Stan. Through the years I spent countless times laughing with and loving this great, strong woman. The mother of my 3 favorite nephews, she loved her boys as much, if not more than any mom could love her sons. She was a devoted wife and best friend to Stan. In all the years I knew her, I never saw anything but a warm and sincere soul. I was lucky enough to visit her on her last day, hold her hand I tell her that I love her. A gem taken too soon.

Peggy Farley was one of those awesome high school friends...happy, positive, kind. Whether it was hanging out at the Commodore or just around town, she was funny and full of energy. Doesn't surprise me she took up motorcycling in retirement! Peg's family, may you be blessed with her good memories and steadfast love.

Stan and the boys: So stunned to see your beloved Peggy join the list of those lost in recent year. She was a sweet, soft spoken, but tough lady who gave so much love and the gift of humanity to those in Brookline and Baker School community. My most heart felt sympathy.

Always kind-hearted, always friendly-that was Peggy. It's been years since I've seen Peggy, but her voice and her warm, caring manner are as clear to me as if I'd seen her yesterday. She was a gem of a person, and I am so sad to hear of this news.My deepest condolences to all the members of the Paine family, also a caring, kind lot. It was obvious that Peggy loved and was devoted to
her family so much. xo
