In the 12-years I knew Jay, he'd always complained I was too parental with him: what did you eat today, did you go for a walk? I'd always check in with him.

In November of 2013 I got married and moved to Oakland and stopped checking in with him. I've been calling his phone for these past months until last week when the robot said the number had changed...

He ended every conversation with, "I love you." And I knew he did...I just hope he knew I meant it as well. He was my friend and my crazy Indian.

For a time Jeremy was one of my closest friends. His positivity and optimistic outlook was infectious. Jeremy was a wonderful friend, and I always regretted loosing contact with him. I hope his laughter is filling whatever hallowed halls he resides now in this next step on his journey. I'll never for you Jeremy, part of who I am today is because of your influence and friendship. Rest in peace my friend.

Marie, over the 10 years that I worked with you, and for the now 18 years that I have known you, I have seen you bless every life that you touch. Jeremy is so fortunate to have you as his mother.

I just received word of his passing and offer my deepest sympathy. I never had a chance to know Jeremy but I have enjoyed reading the many wonderful comments about him in this Guest Book. He had a positive impact on many lives during his life, no doubt as a result of your influence on his natural upbeat disposition.

Your Christmas cards are the only ones that I keep. By keeping them in my office it has given me several opportunities to tell people about your wonderful life that is full of professional excellence, never ending service and compassion, and unfaltering endurance.

My prayers are with you,

Dave & Nancy Spencer

Hi Jeremy, We have never met but I see your wonderful picture every day. Your Mom and I work together and although I have only known her for 3+ years I feel like I have know you all my life. Your Mom is a wonderful person who loves you and misses you dearly. And I can only think that I wish I had known you earlier because anyone who has a Mom like that must also have been a good person and a great guy. You are missed by so many. So, I wanted to send you this note to say goodbye and hope that you have found peace and happiness and to please wait for all of us. It may be a while yet but we'll get there. Take care, with love, Dave and Nancy Spencer

Thank you Jeremy for being my friend. My high school years would not have been as colorful and as fun as they were without you. We shared many interests, music, art, film, and even my homecoming date at CB during those impressionable years. Fantastic memories we had. You will be remembered always. Peace light and blessings. Rest in Power my friend.

Marie ~ I will always remember Jeremy's huge smile, laughter and generous character. Our conversations about your "dashboard talks" have stuck with me and I find myself doing the same with my girls ~ at this age, that's about the only time you have a captive audience :) Take comfort in your happy memories. Sending you our love and keeping you in our prayers during this very difficult time.
