Joanna Vincini

1921 - 2017

Joanna Vincini, 95, died June 5, 2017 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Charlotte, NC. Born in East Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore & Rose (Ranfone) Rocco, and the beloved wife of the late Frank Vincini. She grew up on a small farm the youngest of five children, and later worked for the engineering firm of Hubbard, Lawless & Blakely in New Haven, CT for twelve years. In 1952, she moved to Framingham when she married Frank, and raised a family and worked for New England Telephone Company for 15 years. In recent years Joanna enjoyed designing jewelry and was an aficionado of classic films. With the help of her friends she gracefully met the challenges of aging. She lived in Framingham until last year when she moved to Charlotte, NC to be near her daughter. Joanna passed on peacefully after a short illness as bright, sweet and beautiful as always. She was surrounded by those she loved and who loved her. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Charlotte and Patrick Reilly of Charlotte and her son, Peter Vincini of NYC. Family and friends will honor and remember Joannas life by gathering for visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham on Wednesday, June 14th from 8:30 | 9:30 A.M. Her Funeral Mass will follow in St. Georges Church, 74 School St., Saxonville, at 10 oclock. Interment in St. Stephens Cemetery, Framingham.
