Dear Anita, Vaughn, Sandra, and Marlene,
I realize that this message of sympathy is very very belated since I have been out of the country for years, and recently returned to Canada; I apologize sincerely. However, I still want to pass onto you my condolences on the passing of your mother in 2014.
No one can take the place of a mom, and yours was a very special one. I remember visits to your house as a little girl and her big smile, gentle laugh and sweet voice when she spoke to us about all children.
May your cherished memories sustain you and keep her close to you forever.

Dear Sandy, Marlene, Anita and Vaughn,
Sending sympathy and loving thoughts to you all. I know how heart-wrenching it is to let your Mom go. She lives on though in all that she contributed to your lives and to so many people throughout the entire world. Her life had such meaning and it is inspirational to know what a positive difference she made in so many peoples lives, both professionally and in her personal life.
Your Mom was such a blessing in my life. I have so many special memories of our times together. Her kindness, humility, patience, generosity, quiet and strong spirit will always inspire me, as well as many others.
I wish that I could be with you today. Instead, I will go to the beach and the eagle tree that she enjoyed on her visits here and spend some time thinking of your Mom and you all. Lots of love, Pat Sears

Dear Marlene, Sandra, Vaughn and Anita,
Your Mother's life must have been very full of joy and satisfaction. She was a loving Aunti, a caring physician, a devoted Mother, an enthusiastic visitor to the mountains. Her life of course had its very sad events which she accepted with dignity.
I will remember her always with much affection. She was a loving Aunti to me. I am so sorry that I cannot be with you at this sad time.
With deepest sympathy in your loss.

I have such fond memories of "Aunty Vi". Our family lived next door to the Myers family for many years in Edmonton and my brother Jim and I played with Sandra and Vaughan at the Myers home which Aunty Vi welcomed us to for years as we were growing up. Deepest sympathy to Marlene, Sandra, Vaughan and Anita and families in this difficult time.
