Frank P. Espindle

Frank P. Espindle, 76, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, January 4, 2021. Born and raised in Peabody he was the son of the late Leo J. Sr., and Sarah E. (Kane) Espindle. He graduated from Peabody High School, class of 1962 where he excelled in sports. He was an all-star baseball and football player earning his place in the Peabody High School Hall of Fame. He continued his education earning a bachelors degree in business administration from Northeastern University and an MBA from Suffolk University in Boston. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam Era as a member of the United States Army. Mr. Espindle had been employed for many years as an accountant for a company that manufactured radiological supplies for medical imaging, which over time was a unit of New England Nuclear, Dupont and PerkinElmer, from which he retired. Frank was a longtime resident of Peabody. He also lived many years in Hamilton, MA, where he raised his children and was active in the community, coaching Little League and youth soccer. Frank always remained active, playing mens league softball and basketball into his senior years. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving him are two sons, Derek M. Espindle and Devin P. Espindle and his wife, Gloria all of San Diego, CA, two grandsons, Nathan and Matthew, two brothers, Leo J. Espindle Jr. of Lincoln, RI and David M. Espindle of Punta Gorda, FL, and many nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held graveside, at St. Marys Cemetery, 226 North Street, Salem, on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
