George Monbourquette Obituary

George E. Monbourquette Jr., of Landmark at Oceanview in Beverly passed away on April 11, 2021 at the age of 95. With his cheerful outlook on life, he enjoyed making people smile right to his peaceful end. George was born on December 27, 1925 in Gloucester. He attended Northeastern University and was a graduate of the Bryant & Stratton School of Boston. Following his education, he served in World War II until the end of the war. George spent the majority of his career as an accountant in the automotive and bioscience industries. While an accountant by trade, he was an entertainer at heart. A proficient organist, friends and family fondly remember singing late into the night as George played show tune after show tune. Predeceased by his wife Joan, she and George spent forty years of a loving life together in Magnolia. George is survived by his two daughters, Amy, wife of Stefan, Lori, wife of Phil, in addition to his grandson Lucas, and his niece Carol. There will be a private burial at the Calvary Cemetery in Gloucester. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester. Donations in George's name may be made to the Ipswich Council on Aging. Information, directions and condolences at www. campbellfuneral.com.
