Lorraine Jensen Obituary

ESSEX JUNCTION,VERMONT: Lorraine Helen (Deschene) Jensen, 88, of Vermont, who resided most of her life in Ipswich,MA, passed away peacefully at the Green Mountain Nursing Home on August 22, 2013. She was the former wife of Lyle Jensen, Sr. Lorraine was born in Salem, MA on July 3, 1925 to the late Ohmer and Helen (Burnhart) Deschene. She grew up in Salem and lived part of her life in Rowley, MA, Brookings, South Dakota, Ipswich and her latter years in Essex Junction, VT. During her years of working she had worked at New England Alive in Ipswich, Bailey Corporation in Seabrook, NH and Sylvania in Ipswich. Lorraine loved animals, especially her cat Samantha. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, knitting and collecting dolls. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son Charles “Chuck” Jensen with whom she had lived with in Essex Junction, Vermont; daughter-in-law Barbara Jensen of Ipswich; three grandchildren, Jennifer Fox of Rowley, Michael Jensen of Ipswich and Heather Monti of Georgetown; sister-in-law Theresa Jensen of Ipswich; brother-in-law John Jensen of Brookings, South Dakota and nieces and nephews. She also leaves four great-grandchildren, Livia Harrington-Fox, Dylan Monti, Myriah Monti and Savannah Monti. She was predeceased by her son Lyle C. Jensen, Jr. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00AM in the New Highland Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and friends invited .
