Patrick Rosano Obituary

Patrick E. Rosano, 87, of Linebrook Road, Ipswich, husband of the late Theresa G. (Kelley) Rosano, died Sunday, April 23, 2017 in the Lahey Medical Center, Burlington following his brief illness. Born in Malden on November 7, 1929 son of the late John and Mary Rosano, he was raised in Malden, a 1949 graduate of Malden High School. Following graduation he entered the U.S. Air Force and served his enlistment in Korea during the war as an aircraft mechanic. In 1954 he married Theresa Kelley and they soon made their home and raised their family in Ipswich. During these years Patrick was employed fulltime as a supervisor for the US Postal service at South Postal Station, Boston and fulltime as the supervisor of the Malden Cemetery Department, both positions he served for twenty six years until retirement. In retirement he followed his passion for acting. He started in local theatres and was soon represented by Boston Castings which found him acting positions in many movies including, the Perfect Storm, Celtic Pride and Meet Joe Black. Patrick was a longtime member of the Ipswich V.F.W. Post #1093, the Commander Clubs of the Disabled American Veterans and the Screen Actors Guild. He is survived by a son, John Rosano of Newton, NH; two daughters, Theresa Kelley Rosano of Marblehead, Kathleen Rosano Tiefenbacher of Ipswich; three grandchildren, Theresa Amundsen of CA, Nicole Maccarone of Wilmington, Robert Tiefenbacher III of Ipswich; a brother, Frank Rosano of Malden; a sister, Jean Rosano of CA; a former son-in-law, Robert Tiefenbacher, Jr. of Ipswich and many nephews and nieces. He was the father of he late Patrick Rosano, Jr. who was tragically killed in 1982; brother of the late Anthony Rosano of Tewksbury, Joseph Rosano of W. Peabody, Paula Jordan of Medford and Mary McNeil of Malden. His funeral Service will be held 11:30 Friday graveside in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Town Farm Road, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed. Visiting hours are Thursday 4 to 7 pm in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich.
