Sophie A. Terentowicz

1923 - 2018

Sophie A. Terentowicz, 94 lifelong resident of River Court, died Tuesday June 12, 2018 in the Herrick House, Beverly following her brief illness. Born in Ipswich July 22, 1923, daughter of the late John and Antonia (Frydrych) Terentowicz, she was a graduate of Ipswich public schools. During the years of WWII she was employed at Sylvania in Ipswich and in the following years and until her retirement she was employed as an office administrator at Our Lady of LaSalette Seminary in Ipswich. Sophie enjoyed ethnic cooking, bargain shopping and her many trips to Europe which included her parents homeland, Poland. Shell fondly be remembered for her energy and organization in the planning of her traditional Polish Christmas and Easter celebrations. She was a communica nt of the former Sacred Heart Parish of Ipswich. Sophie is survived by many neph ews, nieces and cousins. She was the sister of the late Victoria Scibisz, Walter and Stephen Terentowicz all formerly of Ipswich and Gertrude Konieczny formerly of Danvers. A private funeral service was held Friday, June 15 in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, Ipswich, followed by interment n the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich.
