James F. Plett Jr.
James F. Plett Jr., 75, of Duxbury, passed away peacefully at home Nov. 23, 2013, surrounded by his beloved family. He was the devoted husband of 37 years to the late Mary M. (Hansen) Plett. He was the only son born to the late Josephine (Melewski) and James F. Plett Sr. After graduating from Scituate High School in 1957, James entered the military and served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and was deployed on the USS Providence. James was owner and operator of Pletts Pub Restaurant in Green Harbor, Marshfield. He was the loving father of Christine Stetson and her husband George of Marshfield and Susann Libby and her husband Adam of Kingston. He will be missed by his grandsons, Tom, Bobby, Chris and Jon. Those wishing may make donations in James memory to Cranberry Area Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Plymouth, MA 02360. Arrangements are private and under the direction of Hamel Funeral Care & Cremation Services of Massachusetts.
