Elise (Lisa) Joan Kineke, a resident of Watertown, Massachusetts, died Friday, March 19, 2021. Born in Orange, New Jersey in 1954, she graduated from Horace Greeley High School, Chappaqua, New York in 1972 and earned a BS from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She went on to earn an MBA with honors from Boston University while working full time and caring for her two young children. Lisa worked for many years in health care in the Boston area, principally at the HLA laboratory at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and later at Saint Elizabeths Hospital and Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates. Devoted to her family and friends - and especially to her children Erin and Sean, and to her grandchildren - Lisa was the key organizer of Kineke family celebrations and gatherings for many years. As a young woman, she was an avid hiker, a follower of the Grateful Dead, and a beautiful dancer. On many Memorial Day weekends, she was the first of the family to jump into the ocean at Nauset Beach on Cape Cod. Throughout her life, Lisa demonstrated a singular grace, courage, generosity and a loving kindness to her family and friends. Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Frank D. Kineke. She is survived by her two children, Erin Cadieux of Maynard, Massachusetts and Sean Garrison of Alexandria, Virginia, their respective spouses Peter Cadieux and Allison Yaeger, her grandchildren Finn and Maggie Cadieux and Fiona and Maxwell Garrison, her mother Joan Lorraine Kineke of East Orleans, Massachusetts, and her siblings Dr Stephen Kineke of Clifton Park, New York, Jane Kineke of Paris, France, Paul Kineke of Katonah, New York, Dr Gail Kineke of Falmouth, Massachusetts, Kathryn Kineke of Surf City, North Carolina and by extended family and friends fortunate to have known her. A private family celebration of life will be held when travel allows. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome in her name to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, 320 Haverhill St, Reading, MA or a tree could be planted in Lisas honor with the Arbor Day Foundation. Lisa always took pleasure in the little moments in life and with a generosity of spirit that was uniquely her own, hoped that everyone around her would appreciate them too. My sincere condolences to the Kineke/Cadieux/Garrison family. I’ll always remember Lisa’s inner radiance and sunny smile, and all the happy times and adventures we had during our time at Tufts, the summer we spent in Yosemite, exploring Colorado, and most of all at the Cape - in, on, and around the ocean.
